A typical project of concrete monolithic stair for a house from the company "Stairs-A"

In this article, we will consider a typical staircase project, the calculations of which were performed in PC LIRA-SAPR.
It is very important that the calculations of the programs "SCAD" or "LIRA-SAPR" are included in the project, since they calculate all the stresses that arise in concrete stairs and the structures on which they rest. And it is these programs that give the required area of reinforcement for the upper and lower reinforcement grids of the stairs. If your project does not have an RSN table, there are no isofields of stresses and displacements, and there is no design option from the "SCAD" or "Lira" programs, then your architect simply took the reinforcement "by eye". Also, the calculation of shakiness (shaking of stairs) must be added to the calculation of any stairs, and is impossible without a software calculation.

We will omit the first two pages (Cover and Title page) and start with page №2 - Details of working drawings.

The third sheet of the project - general instructions for the calculation of concrete stairs.

The general view of the calculation scheme of the stairs and the floor slab on which the stairs rest are shown on sheet 4. These schemes are created in the "Sapphire" program, for further calculation in the "Lira" program.

But first, the geometry of the stairs and the room itself are built in the ArchiCad program. You can learn more about this from our article Design of curvilinear tie concrete stairs in ArchiCad . About how to visualize concrete stairs, read Design of concrete string stairs with ArchiCad in 3ds Max . The fifth sheet of our project shows the visualization of concrete stairs in the 3ds Max program.

Sheet №6 shows the calculation of all loads on the stairs and their application schemes. We enter all these data in "Lira".

Sheet №7 shows the calculation combinations of loads and isofield movements along the Z axis. RSN3 is required to calculate stairs for shakiness.

Sheet №8 shows isofields of stresses arising in concrete stairs and the floor slab on which it rests.

The calculation of the area of the lower and upper armature along the X and Y axes is shown on sheet №9. The program shows the zones of maximum reinforcement in red, as well as the diameter and pitch of the reinforcement.

We place the formwork drawing obtained from ArchiCad on sheet №10.

We place four views, also obtained from ArchiCad, on sheet №11.

On the working drawing №12, we place a longitudinal section 1-1, where we show in detail the scheme of reinforcement of concrete stairs.

On working drawing №13, we place section 2-2, where we also show the scheme of reinforcing the stairs.

On the working drawing №14, we place the cross section 3-3.

The last sheet №15 informs us about the list of parts, the specification of the elements of the stairs and the list of steel consumption.
